Question 1: Why was Nichibei formed?
Answer: Nichibei was created in response to the experience of its translators, who possessed the talents yet lacked the freedom to be creative, and write translations that people wanted to read. Most translation companies (whether in-house or outsourcing) are overstaffed, overworked and under-appreciated for their efforts. We at Nichibei desired a company that treats everyone as equals. We believe in the written word, and that translations need not be mechanical, or require a complex translation system. We keep it simple, with a core staff of highly trained professionals.

Question 2: What makes Nichibei different?
Answer: The difference between us and the competition is that our company is as diverse as the languages we translate. Nichibei is a melting pot, and we seek out minorities and women to work in high positions in our company. Nichibei stands for Japan-US, but we are ultimately a reflection of the greatestcity on Earth: New York.

Question 3: Are your rates as high as everyone else's?
Answer: No. Unlike the competition, Nichibei does not require overlapping staff with equivalent skills. Our professionals are experts in their translation fields. We are lean when it comes to our streamlined translation protocol. Our rates are competitive with the 'big' translation firms in Japan and the US. Most companies are bureaucracies. Unlike our competitors, our mission is serving you, and you alone.
